Telangana Praja Front chairman Balladeer Gaddar has appealed to the youth to take Buddhist ideals to the people.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Gaddar alleged that various political parties were projecting ‘Gouthama Buddha’ as god for political gain. He also appealed to the people to follow Buddha’s footsteps to restore peaceful atmosphere.
Andhra Pradesh Buddhist Trust is celebrating 2556th Sacred Buddha Poornima Jayanthi on May 6 at 2 pm at Maniyarpally in Koheer of Medak district.
The Trust chairman Harinath said that Telangana Praja Front chairman Gaddar would be the chief guest. In Maniyarpally village, over 50 families consisting of 200 members embraced Buddhism in the 2010 and the trust had adopted the village and made it a model village in the State. (NSS)
