Hyderabad, November 3: There is a 400 year old mosque which is called Masjid Khayali. This is a vast and splendid mosque inside the rampart opposite to the famous baobab tree. Its details are present in the Waqf board record according to which its survey number is said to be 40. ward no is 9 while the gazette no is 13-2. Masjid Mullah Khayali is mentioned in the serial no. 270 which is registered on page 17 dated March 29, 1984.
Just because of our carelessness and criminal negligence of waqf board, the mosque land has been handed over for Golf Ground. Though there are a number of graves around the mosque but they are being gradually annihilated.
Local social activists called the famous revolutionary poet Gadar, president Telangana Praja party and TRS leader, who had arrived there to look over the construction activities of Golf Ground, to have a view of the mosque.
Gadar also paid floral tributes to the graveyard near the mosque and promised to make an effort to unlock the mosque. Gadar told that the government will have to answer for this. Will the interests of rich be fulfilled on the lands of mosques and graveyards? He exclaimed.
