G. Vinod, former minister was suspended from the TRS

Hyderabad: On Friday, citing ‘anti-party’ activities the TRS expelled G. Vinod.

G. Vinod had contested in the 2014 polls from Chennur as a Congress candidate and lost, after which he joined the TRS in 2016 along with his brother G Vivek.

Later he made as state government advisor by CM KCR.

When he approached IT minister KT Rama Rao, the latter told him that Suman was given ticket to accommodate his brother Vivek from Peddapalli, a Lok Sabha constituency.

Some other leaders like Shanker from Shadnagar, Jalandhar Reddy from Makthal and Gajjela Nagesh from Secunderabad were also suspended from the party on Friday.

In October also TRS Member of Legislative Council Ramulu Naik was suspended and in November, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) expelled 24 leaders from its ranks for a period of six years.

Some leaders had claimed that the Mahakutami was handing out tickets to those who had lost more than three elections consecutively and are from other parties.
