Furious 7 actor Jason Statham has been approached by Marvel to take the coveted role of ‘Bullseye’ in Daredevil season 2.
In the comic books, ‘Bullseye’ is one of Matt Murdock’s enemies. He is a formidable villain who never misses his targets and is rumoured to antagonise Charlie Cox’s superhero character in the upcoming sophomore season, reported Ace Showbiz.
The new season is due 2016. Rosario Dawson is officially confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple, a Hell’s Kitchen nurse who was romantically entangled with Murdock in the first season.
She signed a deal that will also allow her to appear in any of Marvel’s other Netflix original series since her character has ties with other Defenders heroes.
Statham was last seen in action comedy Spy along with Melissa McCarthy. He will next be seen in action thriller Mechanic: Resurrection with Jessica Alba.
