Minister for Rural Development and NREGS D Manikya Vara Prasad on Tuesday stated that that the government has released Rs 6,080 lakhs towards Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana scheme for 2012-13, which covers death and disability insurance for the benefit of rural landless households.
In a statement issued to media, Manikya Vara Prasad stated that 38 lakh landless rural labour would benefit under the Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana scheme in the State.
Under the scheme, he said that the government would pay Rs 160 premium on each rural landless labour per year.(INN)
