Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali has said construction of Urdu-Ghar-cum-Shadikhana was an ongoing scheme. The government has released funds for 54 Urdu-Ghar-cum-Shadikhanas in various places in the State, he said.
Replying to a question raised by MIM members—Akbaruddin Owaisi, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Mohd. Moazam Khan, Jaffar Hussain, Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala and Kausar Moinuddin on Thursday during Question Hour in the Assembly, Mahamood Ali replied on behalf of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, that the District Collectors have constituted managing committees for Urdu-Ghar-cum-Shadikhanas in their respective districts consisting concerned Tahsildar as member/convener, three to four Muslim elders in the locality as members and Urdu Academy Board member as member.
These committees would overseas the construction of Shadikhanas. The district collector entrusts the construction to district level designated engineering department, and the construction was being supervised by the district collector and the committee constituted by him, he informed. (NSS)
