Government has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 23.46 lakhs towards several schemes under various institutions of Minority Welfare Department and to review the economic condition. This includes salaries of staff of Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid and towards administration fund of the two masajid.
Principal Secretary Minority welfare I Rani Kumudini issued GO RT 37 in this connection. As per the GO, out of the budget of Rs. 23.46 lakhs, Rs. 7.5 lakhs will be spent towards training and employment scheme, Rs. 1.25 lakh was released to Urdu Academy for creating awareness regarding minority schemes, Rs. 25 thousand have been issued to minority Finance Corporation for research cell and library and Rs. 2.35 lakh have been allocated for Andhra Pradesh State Waqf tribunal.
