Full fees of Minority students of Engineering should be reimbursed-Mr. Zahid Ali Khan gives 15 days time to Govt.

(Siasat News)The educational backwardness of the Muslim can’t be eradicated unless the reports of Sachar Committee and Ranganatha Miushra Commission are implemented. With the decision of the Govt. to reimburse only Rs.35, 000 to the engineering students belonging to minorities a new phase of injustice has started.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor Siasat and member of Politburo of TDP expressed these thoughts while criticizing the stand taken by the Govt. to reimburse only a partial amount of engineering fees to the Muslim students. He told that the Govt. has made an attempt to ridicule the recommendations of Sachar Committee Report.

Mr. S.M.Lal Jan Basha, Mr. P.Madhu and Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha (former M.P’s); Mohammed Mohmood Ali, member, Politburo of TRS, Mr. Amjadullah Khan Khalid, Corporate of MBT have also condemned the decision of the Govt. They told that if the Govt. doesn’t change its decision, it has to meet the adverse consequences.

After consulting various political parties, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan has given an opportunity to Govt. to alter its decision within 15 days. If a decision to reimburse full fees is not taken, all the parties will start chain hunger strike and a mass campaign would be launched against the Govt. These leaders demanded the Govt. to change its policy and to ensure implementation of Sachar committee and Ranganathe Mishra Commission reports. Despite several representations, no reaction is being shown either by Central Govt. or State Govt. It is causing unrest among Minorities. By the decision of the Govt. not to reimburse complete fees to the engineering students of Minority community, it has become certain that Govt. is not serious about resolving the Minority issues. The leaders told that this decision of the Govt. amounts to depriving the Minority Students from higher professional education. They made it clear that they have no objection if the Govt. pays full fees to the students belonging to S.C’s and S.T’s. but not paying the full fees to the community which is worse than the S.C’s and Daliths amounts to neglecting it which is like ridiculing their backwardness.

These leaders affirmed that protest and struggles would be launched to pressurize the Govt. to alter its decision. If need be, dharna, meeting and other agitation programmes would be organized against the Gov. to exert pressure on it to reimburse full fees.
