Bareilly: Two schoolgirls witnessed rape of a friend at her house, filmed the act and allegedly uploaded the entire sequence on the internet.
The incident happened on December 18 but come to light recently, girl’s family in a state of shock when they came to know about the ghastly deed.
According to a report published in Times of India, the father of the 16-year-old victim in his complaint claimed that her two friends, who are said to be “close” to her and are from the same locality called on her when she was alone at home. The girls were accompanied by a youth.
The trio entered and allegedly bolted the room from inside and the youth, identified only as Aman raped her at gunpoint in the presence of her two friends who filmed the entire sequence on their mobile phones and uploaded the crime online.
The incident left the victim battered and traumatized.
According to Upendra Singh, Inspector, Shergarh police station, “She went into a state of depression and refused to disclose the incident to her parents.”
Singh added, “We have filed a case under section 450 (trespass in order to commit offence, punishable with imprisonment for life), section 452 (trespass, assault, wrongful restraint) section 376 (rape), section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and also section 4 of the POCSO Act along with section 66 A of the IT Act. The two girls have been arrested and are being questioned for their role in the incident. They will be produced before the magistrate on Sunday. A hunt is on to nab Aman.”
