Thiruvananthapuram, March 20: A 28-year-old man was clubbed to death with a cricket bat by his friend after a quarrel broke out between them, over swapping channels when a IPL match was on, at a village in Nedumangad town near here, police said today.
The man, who suffered serious head injuries, died in the medical college hospital here yesterday after battling for life for four days, they said.
According to police, the incident happened on March 16 at Nagachery village in the town, about 20 km from here, when the youth who was watching an IPL match on television with his friends tried to change channels during a commercial break.
Some of them were in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident, they said, adding that one person has been arrested in connection with the case.
