Barring stray incidents of violence, the city remained peaceful following the Friday prayers at historical Makkah Masjid on Friday.
Police continued the elaborate bandobust they had made.
Despite heavy police presence on the roads from Madina to Shah Ali Banda, there were no traffic restrictions in place till 12.30 pm. The traffic was diverted through alternate routes only after the beginning of the afternoon prayers.
Police put up barricades separating the mosque from Charminar and placed barbed wires to stop the mob.
Last Friday police resorted to mild lathi-charge to disperse the mob at Makkah Masjid as they taken out a rally. Moghulpura , but no one suffered any injuries in the incident .
