Government has sanctioned recruitment on 2607 new posts in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Principal Secretary Finance Dr. D Sambasiva Rao issued GO MS 92 in this connection. Government accorded permission to fill up 1300 posts in first phase and 1307 posts in second phase in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
The expenditure for pay and allowances of 2607 additional posts shall be met from the funds of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The departments in which new recruitments have been sanctioned include administration, council, health, SWM, Engineering (project), Engineering (Maintenance), Revenue, Town Planning, UCD, Finance and Accounts, Audit, Estate, Advertisement Tax, Parks, sports, IT, Veterinary, Entomology, Disaster Management cum transport, vigilance, public relations, legal, labour welfare, election, statistic, record and fire prevention.
