Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy on Wednesday said that fresh recruitment for Police Department would be done after the completion of Districts’ Reorganisation process.
The Home Minister held a meeting with all SPs, IGPs, DIGs and other senior officials at DGP office today to review the districts’ reorganisation status. He said that the new recruitment would take place once the new Police stations, Circles, Divisional offices start functioning. He said 82 new police stations, 23 new circle offices and 22 new divisions may come up due increase of 118 new Mandals in the state. He said that the seniority and experience would be the criteria in giving postings for the new districts.
Nayani expressed satisfaction over the Law and Order situation in the State. He also praised the role played by State Police during festivals.
DGP Anurag Sharma briefed the Home Minister about the exercise being carried out by the SPs on the staff deployment, office buildings, vehicles, etc., in view of districts’ reorganisation. He said new police comminssionarates are being proposed at Siddipet, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Ramagundam. (INN)
