French President Emmanuel Macron to visit India in December

New Delhi: French President Emmanuel Macron would be visiting India by the year-end, he said on Saturday. He will hold a meeting of the International Solar Alliance, he added.

“I will be travelling to India by end of the year and we will convene a meeting of the International Solar Alliance,” French President said while delivering a joint statement with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Elysee Palace in Paris, reported Financial Express.

While appreciating India’s commitment towards France, and the Indian soldiers who lost their lives for France, he said: “Many Indian soldiers who died for our country, for its freedom, is very much evidence of strong bonds between our countries,” said Macron.

Macron also thanked PM Modi and his delegation for the fruitful discussions held between the two nations.
