The French government has made a new law which gives its citizens the ‘right to make mistakes’. In other words, it has acknowledged that ‘to err is human’.
The bizarre legislation has surprised the world. The legislation was passed with a show of hands in the Assemblée Nationale in Paris. It allows for the “right to make mistakes” without being punished. However, just one error and that too made in good faith will be forgiven.
The authorities will decide if the person was acting deliberately. The legislation is founded on the principle that members of the public and companies should be considered to be acting in good faith until proven otherwise.
