French actress sues mother for nude photos as kid

A French actress has sued her mother for clicking pornographic pictures of her when she was barely 11 years old and passing them to Playboy magazine.

Eva Ionesco, now 47, was the youngest ever model in the magazine when she was pictured naked at such an age. Her photographs were taken in the 1970s between the ages of four and 12 by her photographer mother Irina, Daily Mail reported.

Irina was well-known in the 1970s for her erotic photographs, especially the controversial ones of her daughter, which appeared in a number of publications including European editions of magazines Playboy and Penthouse.

The mother has been ordered to pay 10,000 euros in damages to her daughter for taking the explicit pictures of her in the 1970s, when she was between four and 12.

The court in Paris also ordered the mother to hand over negatives of the pictures to her daughter Eva. The actress said she suffered a “stolen childhood” due to the photographs.

The court, however, rejected the daughter’s demand for 200,000 euros ($263,000) in damages and for her mother to be barred from profiting from the photographs.
