Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Monday alleged that the State Government should ensure that the State police force is freed from all kinds of political influence.
Speaking to media persons on the occasion of BJP’s Formation Day celebrations at State BJP Headquarters at Nampally here, Kishan Reddy said that the Nalgonda incident should be an eye opener and everyone must learn lessons from the same. He said the entire police force should be modernised and equipped with latest arms and ammunitions. He alleged that except for providing new vehicles, the Telangana Government took no measures to strengthen the police force.
Kishan Reddy said that the police force should be given freedom to work in its own way and all kinds of political influence should be stopped. He demanded a thorough probe into why SIMI terrorists came to Hyderabad and who provided them shelter.
Speaking about party’s membership drive, Kishan Reddy said that the Sampark Abhiyaan would continue till July 31. He said that training for new members will be held in the month of August, both at the mandal and district levels. (INN)
