A free orientation seminar on Manasarovar Yatra will be held here on Sunday. All those interested in knowing more about the spiritual journey to Manasarovar are welcome to attend the Free Orientation seminar to be held from 4 pm at Hindi Maha Vidyalaya, Nallakunta, O.U. Road, Hyderabad.
In a pressnote here, organizer of the seminar Dr P. Uma Venkatesh said Dr P.V. Rao, Coordinator will take the introductory session and spiritual guru Dr Muralidhar Acharya will address the seminar.
The Kailash-Manasarovar Yatra is considered very sacred and is undertaken as a pilgrimage by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. The Kailash Parvat and the Manasarovar are revered by almost all religions. In a way, the Manasarovar yatra signifies ‘unity in diversity’.
The seminar will address questions such as the need for the yatra, its significance, the requirements for the same and so on. As many people dream of going on the yatra but don’t know about it, the seminar will provide an opportunity for such people to know more about the same informed Dr. P. Uma.
The famous lake ‘Manasarovar’ is situated at the base of Mount Kailash, the abode of Lord Shiva. ‘Manas’ means the mind and ‘sarovar’ means lake. The world’s highest freshwater lake is seen as a symbol of the Mother of the Universe, Mata Parvati. Manasarovar Yatra is undertaken by hundreds of people every year. It has a religious value, apart from the enjoyment of the natural beauty.
