Hyderabad: As a part of community policing, today a Free Mega Medical Health Camp was organized by the South Zone Police at Shams Garden Function Hall, Kalapathar from 10 am to 5 pm. Doctors from Care Hospital, Nampally, AFAQ Clinics and Galaxy Hospitals examined the patients.
Earlier also, the South Zone police conducted Medical Camps in various localities like Chandulal Baradari, Hussaini Alam, Petla Burj, Santosh Nagar and Dabeerpura and got tremendous response from the locals. The South Zone Police have taken up various types of community policing programs and striving to build cordial and friendly relations between police and citizens.
Teams of doctors from Care Hospital belonging to Cardiology, Gynaecology, Dermatology, General Physician, Orthopaedic, Diabetics and Doctors of AFAQ Clinics belonging to Dermatology, Gynaecology, Cardio, General Physician, E.N.T and Gynecology took part in the medical camp. Some 3,000 people, including women from Kalapathar, Kamatipura, Hussaini Alam, Bahadurpura, Charminar, Shah-Ali-Banda, Falaknuma areas attended the medical camp and got necessary health checkups and treatment. The CARE Hospital, AFAQ Clinics, Galaxy Hospitals and FM Radio (Charminar) distributed free medicines to the people at the medical camp.
Dr Arjuman Afaq, MD., Messrs AFAQ Clinics said in view of Women’s Day on March 8, the AFAQ clinics will provide free medical checkups and treatment to all the women police officers at their respective clinics Gynecology, Cadio urology, Dermatology and so on.
City Commissioner of Police M. Mahendar Reddy, IPS, said Hyderabad Police, in collaboration with corporate hospitals, conducted free mega medical camps in old city of Hyderabad for the benefit of poor people. He also said the police will come up with new innovate ideas of policing to improve the partnership between the police and public. He requested the people to co-operate with the police and participate in the community programs organised by the police. (NSS)
