Free flats to poor: great accomplishment of Memon community

Hyderabad, January 18: Hyderabad Halai Memon jamat is a welfare organization formed by Memon community. As part of its welfare activities the organisation is providing 2BHK and 3BHK flats to poor and deserving people.

Member of the organisation Mohammad Raof told Siasat that a building comprising of 150 flats has been constructed at Eidgah Mir Alam crossroad with the cost of 11 crore. The building admeasuring 3000 sqyd has 6 stories.

Presently in Hyderabad the total population of Memon community is nearly 18000. The affluent members of the community strive for the economic and educational strengthening of poor people. They also provide interest-free loan to needy people so that they become self-dependent.

The Memon community has proved with their efforts that instead of depending upon the mercy of government only if the zakat and charity fund is spend in planned and organised manner then we can provide our community members a chance to live with their heads raised.
