The District Education Officer in the state capital Hyderabad has directed private recognized school managements of Hyderabad district to provide free education to the children of journalists working in Hyderabad under Right To Education Act. Telangana Union of Working Journalists and Hyderabad Union of Journalists were making representations with the DEO in this connection and as a result of their effective representation DEO has issued orders. Union leaders Y Narendra Reddy, Rahat Ali, Syed Khaleel Quadri, Faiz Muhammad Asghar, Y Yadgiri, T Koti Reddy and others have appealed journalist community to avail the scheme.
