In a decision that could give a major relief to tribal students, the state government is all set to provide free Eamcet coaching in ST welfare hostels.
This apart, the government is also proposing to facilitate coaching for tribal students to appear for national-level entrance examinations.
‘’For those who are staying in hostels and studying Intermediate, the government will provide Eamcet coaching, as they are not able to get good ranks in Eamcet, and dropping out of welfare hostels,” Ajmera Chandulal ST development minister said on Thursday.
To ensure that there are no dropouts, government had decided to extend Eamcet coaching so that the students get admissions into engineering, medicine and agricultural colleges.
He said the vacant posts in educational institutions and offices run by tribal welfare department will be filled soon. Similarly, government will consider increase in salaries of temporary teachers working in ashram schools.
