Franklin Graham pays tribute to late father Rev Billy Graham

Washington: Franklin Graham, the son of Late Rev Billy Graham, on Friday conducted a funeral service for his father at the Billy Graham library, situated at Charlotte in North Carolina.

The funeral service was conducted at 12:00 noon and was broadcasted live from his Twitter handle.

According to the Washington Post, around 2,000 people had gathered at the Billy Graham library to attend a private funeral service of Billy Graham.

In a series of tweets, Franklin Graham requested his followers to pray for the departed soul and join him for his father’s last rites.

“A beautiful morning at theBGLibrary in Charlotte, NC, as we prepare for my father’s funeral today. You can watch the service live on my Facebook page at 12:00 noon Eastern”, he tweeted.

“It is my prayer that God will be honored and that many will hear the Gospel message and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ today as the service is broadcast. Will you pray with me?” he further Tweeted.

Vice President of United States Mike Pence also took to his Twitter account to express his grief over the death of the American evangelist and popular television presenter.

“Karen and I are on our way to North Carolina to join @POTUS and @FLOTUS to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Reverend Billy Graham. We’ll join the Graham family and the hearts of millions to say, “Thank you Billy Graham, and God bless you.”, he tweeted.

Franklin further requested the followers of Billy to watch the Billy Graham channel to keep them updated with his life journey.

William Franklin Graham who is well-known by his screen name Billy Graham is considered to be the most influential preacher of 20th century.

The US evangelist died at the age of 99. He had served as a councilor to various US presidents. (ANI)
