Fox News apologizes for remark on Muslims

US television network FOX News has made an on-air apology about comments a terrorism for what it termed a “serious factual error” in claiming that Birmingham was a “totally Muslim city” and is a “no-go zone” for non-Muslims.

Commentators and anchors on the network have suggested there are areas in France and Britain in particular where non-Muslims aren’t allowed in and police won’t go.

Mr Emerson, who founded a group called The Investigative Project on Terrorism, was making comments on Muslims, but the next day he apologised after receiving widespread criticism, including from Prime Minister David Cameron who said Mr Emerson was ‘clearly an idiot’.

Fox News’ Judge Jeanne Pirro issued an on air apology, saying it was wrong to let her guest’s statements go unchallenged.
