Hyderabad, April 07: Fourteen property offenders, including a B.Tech student from Chittoor, were today arrested and property worth Rs 22.50 lakh was recovered from them.
The offenders arrested by the Cyberabad police were involved in more than 50 cases including a dacoity, robberies, snatchings, house burglaries and two-wheeler thefts committed across the city and outskirts and in Nalgonda and Warangal districts.
Police recovered more than 90-tola gold ornaments, 1,000-grams of silver ornaments and four motorcycles, all worth Rs 22.50 lakh.
The arrested are: A Suresh, A Jampaiah, M Jampaiah, K Paramesh, D Narsaiah, K Upendar, all daily wage workers from Vanasthalipuram, Gopal Kumar Sharma and Bharat Kumar Sharma, sweet makers from Gulzar Houz, B Srikanth, an Airtel sales executive from Hayatnagar, P Murali Krishna, a private employee of Saroornagar, V Srinivasa Chary, a carpenter from Uppuguda, B Narsimha Goud of Choutuppal, R Hanumanthu from Saroornagar and B Krishna Chaitanya, a B Tech student from Chittoor.
Krishna Chaitanya was involved in motorcycle thefts.
Cyberabad police commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said some of the arrested are responsible for robberies at High Court Colony, Dwarakamai Colony near Vanasthalipuram and a farm house dacoity at Ghatkesar.
