(Siasat News)Four year-old student Fatima Beevi asked not to wear scarf in a school of Assam. The incident took place at Kristo Jyoti School, Bokakhat in Assam’s Golaghat district.
Fatima’s class teacher wrote in her book, to her parents, “You have given in writing that you would abide by the rule and regulation of the school. Parents and students are expected to honour their commitment. Please see the rule on school uniform.”
But when they disobeyed the authority, principal asked parent to remove the hijab within 15 days or not to send their child to school.
Following this parent knocked the door of Gauahti High Court seeking justice.
