Four wounded in Srinagar grenade blast

Srinagar, August 08: Suspected guerrillas hurled a grenade at a paramilitary picket here Saturday evening, injuring two troopers and two civilians, police said.

The grenade was tossed at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker in Habba Kadal area.

‘The grenade exploded near the bunker injuring two CRPF troopers and two civilians. The injured were taken to a hospital,’ a police officer said.

The area was searched but no one was arrested. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Police also said they have arrested a grenade thrower involved in the an explosion early this week that killed a civilian from Bihar and injured several others.
