Four university employees held in exam racket

Hyderabad, April 27: Police today arrested four employees of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in connection with an alleged examination racket.

The four belonged to the examination branch of JNTU and were apprehended by sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, (East Zone).

They were allegedly involved in replacing original answer-sheets of students of JNTU-affiliated engineering colleges with re-written ones after collecting huge amounts of money from the candidates, said M Srinivasulu, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Cash of Rs 3.45 lakh, 17 answer booklets, eight cellphones and a two-wheeler was seized from them, police said.
