Four students end life following board results in MP

Bhopal: Four students including three girls allegedly committed suicide in the state after being disappointed by board exam results today.

Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) announced results of std 10th and 12th examinations today.

Incidents of suicide were reported from Gwalior, Tikamgarh, Bhind and Jabalpur. One attempt to commit suicide was also reported.

In Gwalior, Pragya Kushwah (21), student of std 12th, allegedly hanged herself after the results were out.

Another girl, a std 10th student, tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. She was being treated at a hospital, Gwalior police said.

Pinki Prajapati (16), std 10th student, hanged herself in Narguda area of Tikamgarh town, said local police officer Rajesh Banjare. She had failed in the exam.

In Jabalpur, Kanchan Dubey (17), std 12th student, jumped in front of a train at Gulaua railway crossing, police officer Y S Mishra said.

In Bhind town, Tapish Miholiya (17), std 12th student, hanged himself in his house in Chaturvedi Nagar, additional superintendent of police Rajendra Verma said.

Tapish, son of Bhind Municipality president Kalawati Miholiya, had failed in std 12th.
