Phulbani, November 26: Four persons were today sentenced to four years” imprisonment by a Fast Track court here for their involvement in house burning and other offences during 2008 communal riot in Kandhamal district.
Additional Sessions Judge of the Fast Track Court Sobhan Kumar Dash, while convicting Sunamali Pradhan, Rabi Mallick, Sika Pradhan and Lalaji Pradhan, also imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 each.
They sentenced for setting fire to houses, rioting and unlawful assembly with deadly weapons at village Khajuripada under G.Udayagiri police station are on August 27, 2008.
