Hyderabad, October 27: Four radial roads will be expanded till December for better connectivity to Outer Ring Roads in the city.
These four new radial roads are Rethi bowli to Appa, Lunger Hous contonemet Junction to Narsangi Junction, Beramal Guda to Bangalore and Pahadi Shareef to Takkuguda. Works on these roads will be taken up with the funds being provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
In all, HMDA proposes to develop 34 radial roads mainly to connect ORR from the inner ring roads. These roads were identified after a traffic study, which recommended that these roads need to be widened and developed in order to ensure hassle-free travel to reach ORR.
Based on traffic movement, the roads are being widened to four lane, six lane and eight lane. The road development plans include widening, construction of footpaths, and central median with lighting and beautification works.
