Four persons commit suicide in different places

A 70-year-old man committed suicide allegedly due to financial problems.

According to Keesra police, the deceased, K Bikya of Nagaram, took the extreme step by consuming some unknown poison on June 22 and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Monday. He ran into financial crisis after marrying off his two daughters. Recently, his eldest son-in-law had abandoned his daughter which deteriorated his financial conditions consequently driving him to suicide.

In another case, Md Jahangir, 29, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Sai Baba Nagar on Sunday night. He took the extreme step after his wife went to her parents’ house after having a dispute with him on some trivial issue, according to Jawarharnagar police.

In a different case, B Ellamma, 30, succumbed to the injuries which she sustained after setting herself ablaze. She resorted to the extreme step at her residence in Murali Nagar on June 24 following an argument with her husband Surender over some financial matter. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died on Sunday night. The couple was married about five years ago and had one son, Kamatipura police said.

In a separate case, P Santosh, 33, an LIC Agent, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Sai Nagar on Sunday night. He came to his house in inebriated condition on Sunday night and picked up a quarrel with his wife on some trivial issue. Later, he committed suicide, according to Chaitanyapuri police. (INN)
