Four persons commit suicide

Financial problems drove a 33-year-old man to suicide.

According to Jeedimetla police, the deceased, M. Saraiah, a labourer, resorted to the extreme step by setting himself ablaze. He took the extreme at his residence in Ayodhya Nagar on Tuesday night and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday morning.

In another case, T. Vengamma, 28, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Seetharam Colony on Tuesday night. She was reportedly rebuked by her husband T. Babu for speaking to an unknown person over phone and he had threatened to inform the matter to her parents. Upset with her husband’s behaviour, she resorted to the extreme step, according to Uppal police. She was married to Babu in June this year.

In a different case, J. Varalakshmi, 25, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Nagalakshmi Nagar Colony on Tuesday night. She got married with one J. Babu about five years ago and could not conceive children. The same is suspected to have driven her to suicide, according to Nacharam police.

In a separate case, S. Bhaskar, 35, a painter, of KPHB committed suicide following a minor argument with his wife Rashi, a Home Guard, on Tuesday night. He resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling. (INN)
