Manila, August 26: Four people killed as minibus plunges into ravine in Philippines Manila – Four people were killed when a passenger minibus plunged into a ravine in the northern Philippines, a police official said Wednesday.
Five more were injured in the accident that occurred late Tuesday in Itogon town in Benguet province, 240 kilometres north of Manila, according Senior Superintendent Danny Pelisco.
Pelisco, provincial police chief of Benguet, said the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a downward curve in Dalupirip village due to slippery road conditions.
On Monday, eight people were killed and 42 injured when two passenger buses collided in Quezon province, south-east of Manila.
