Minister for Minorities Welfare, Wakf & Urdu Academy Syed Mohammed Ahamadullah has expressed his concern over the tardy implementation of Prime Minister’s new 15-point Programme for welfare of Minorities in the State and made certain suggestions to Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy through D.O. Lr.No.590/M(M.W, Wakf & U.A)/2012; Dated:03-04-2012. The CM considered the suggestions positively and directed the authorities concerned to take immediate action for effective implementation of Prime Minister’s Programme for Welfare of Minorities of this State.
The Chief Secretary held a number of meetings with all the officials concerned on effective implementation of Prime Minister’s Programme and took various suggestions made by the Minister for Minorities Welfare into consideration and expressed the need to constitute four sub-committees to be headed by the Secretary Minorities Welfare Department to assist the State Level Committee,
since the Government of India constituted a State Level Committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary for the periodical monitoring and implementation of schemes under the Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities but there were no sub-committees to review the decisions taken at the State Level Committee meetings, implementation and progress of such decisions and issued G.O.Ms. No.81 Minorities Welfare (V&C) Department dated July 11, 2012 wherein four sub-committees were constituted headed by the Secretary Minorities Welfare Department.
Ahamadullah expressed his happiness over the special interest taken by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on his suggestions and for constituting four sub-committees for effective implementation of Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities of Andhra Pradesh and issue of G.O.Ms.No.81 Minorities Welfare (V&C) Department Dated:11-07-2012.
