Four MLAs injured as ruckus erupts over Omar’s remarks

Srinagar, October 07: Four opposition BJP and National Panthers Party (NPP) MLAs were injured today as they stormed the well of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly to protest Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s remarks on the crisis in the Valley, prompting the Speaker to have them marshalled out.

Pandemonium broke out in the Assembly as members of BJP, NPP and an independent MLA raised a ruckus jumping into the well and shouting slogans to protest Omar’s speech in the House yesterday while winding up the debate on the prevailing law and order situation in the Valley.

Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone ordered the assembly marshals to take the protesting MLAs out of the House.
