Two engineering students were killed on the spot when their bike was hit by a car in Jangaon in the district on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Sumanth Reddy and Satheesh.
In another accident of an auto falling into the SRSP canal, one housewife was killed on the spot and another woman died while being shifted to the MGM hospital in Warangal. Six others were grievously injured and the condition of two of them remained critical.
According to the information, Ten persons, including women, belonging to Annaram Pedda thanda under Parvathagiri mandal in the district left in the ill-fated auto on Saturday midnight to attend a marriage at Errabelligudem village under Nellikuduru mandal in the district. However, the auto driver lost control over the vehicle near Somaram village and triwheeler fell into the SRSP canal. While one Sattemma died on the spot, Vijaya succumbed to injuries while being shifted to Warangal MGM hospital in an 108 Ambulance. (NSS)
