Kozhikode, February 27:Four women were killed and about 25 passengers were injured in a private bus accident at the nearby bypass Thondayad, this morning.
The bus was plying from Kozhikode Medical College to Beypore. The bus hit a car that was proceding to Karippur International airport headon, and turned turtle after dashing against the median, police said.
All the decased are passengers from the bus and the condition of one of the occupants in the car was stated to be serious.
The injured have been admitted to various hospitals in the city, they said.
The deceased are identified as Thankam, Premalatha, Girija and Sajini, all hailing from nearby areas, police said.
