Hyderabad, January 5: At least four persons were killed and 20 others injured in two road mishaps that occurred across the state on Tuesday wee hours.
A bus conductor was killed and 20 other commuters injured when a lorry collided head on with a State Road Transport Corporation bus near Abdullapurmet in Hayathnagar mandal in Rangareddy district on Tuesday.
According to police, the mishap took place when the bus was heading towards Hyderabad from Kodad. The identity of bus conductor was yet to be ascertained.
The police rushed the injured to Rangareddy district hospital. The condition of injured is stated to be out of danger. All the injured were discharged after the primary treatment.
In another mishap three brothers were killed on the spot when a RTC bus knocked a two-wheeler at Gantavanipalli in Peddadornala in Prakasam district on Tuesday.
According to police, the deceased have been identified as Bhandaru Subbaiah, Subrahmanyam and Anantaiah from Venkatapuram in Atmakur mandal in Kurnool district.
The police have shifted the bodies to government hospital in Ongole for postmortem.
