Four IPS officers transferred

Hyderabad, June 22: Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday transferred four IPS officers, including three district Superintendents of Police (SP), official
sources said.

M Stephen Ravindra, who was heading chief minister’s security group, has been posted as the new SP of Karimnagar district. The incumbent in Karimnagar Vikram Singh Mann has been asked to report in the Director General of Police office.

Guntur SP Mahesh Chandra Ladha has also been asked to report in the DGP’s office for a new posting.

Shankha Brata Bagchi, who has been waiting for posting, will take the place of Ladha in Guntur. Kurnool SP K Madhusudan Reddy too has been transferred but not given a new posting. He too will have to report in the DGP’s office, according to a government order issued on Sunday.

Kurnool Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Shikha Goel will hold additional charge as the district SP till further orders, the order said.

A major overhaul of the police administration is expected in the next couple of days, the sources said.
