Koraput (Orissa), March 14: Four persons, who allegedly robbed people posing as Maoists, were arrested in Orissa’s Koraput district, police said today.
All the four, belonging to a gang and active in Maoist-infested Narayanpatna area, were arrested from different locations in the district last night.
A pistol, four rounds of bullets, Maoist pad, stamp and banner were seized from their possession, sources said, adding the four have been identified as Gupta Bisoi, Arun Kumar Bagh, Dinu Behera and Sidhartha.
A few other members of the group are absconding, the police added.
On the night of March 4, the group members had robbed the house of a nurse at Balipeta village. Posing themselves as Maoists, they had also looted a motorcycle, gold ornaments and cash.
A case in this connection was registered at Narayanpatna police station, the sources said.
