Four held with 22 kg ganja at MGBS bus stand in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: On tip-off, The east zone team of the Hyderabad Commissioner’s task force along with the Afzalgunj Police have nabbed four persons from MGBS bus stand at Afzalgunj and seized 22 kg of marijuana from their possession here on Saturday.

The arrested were identified as Indresh Singh (25), Alwal, Manohar Singh (26), Karri Satti Babu (27) and Vangali Nagaraju (27). While Indresh and Manohar are residents of Mangalhat in Hyderabad, Satti
Babu and Nagaraju are from Visakhapatnam.

Police officials says, Indresh Singh confessed to selling marijuana in small quantity to earn quick money apart from the income he gets as a kite seller.

S Chaitanya Kumar, Addl. DCP, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad City Police said, “He procures marijuana from agency area and sells it to customers in Hyderabad. His friend, Alwal a Manohar Singh, decided to be a part of his business for a percentage of the income.”

“Indresh Singh contacted Karri Satti Babu and Vangali Nagaraju of Visakhapatnam
and requested them to transport 22 kg of ganja from agency area to Hyderabad.

According to their agreement, Sattibabu and Nagaraju boarded a private bus at Visakhapatnam and came to Hyderabad to deliver the ganja” said the official.

The duo then got down at MGBS bus stand in Afzalgunj and were waiting for Indresh to come and collect it. Indresh arrived at the bus stand along with Manohar on the latter’s two wheeler, when officials arrested them based on prior information.
