Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana has decided to give 50 awards which includes four awards for Urdu writers. These awards will be given to noted personalities who had contributed in the fields of Urdu poetry, literature, Journalism and religion. A separate sub-committee has been constituted for the selection of these awards.
Dept. of Minorities Welfare has been given the responsibility of Urdu programs of Mushaira, Sham-e-Gazal and Mehfil-e-Qawali.
