New Delhi, March 07: Four youths allegedly involved in burglaries at a jewellery and a garment shop in the capital were arrested with police today claiming that they have recovered 9.5 kg of silver and 1.2 kg of gold from them.
Three robbers — Sumit (21), Sonu (21) and Rajan (25 — and receiver of stolen articles Raj Kumar (25) were arrested from south-west Delhi’s Dabri More by a team of Delhi Police’s Crime Branch yesterday.
A senior police official said the trio had in January this year burgled a jewellery shop in Vijay Enclave and decamped with 16 kg of silver and two kg of gold, besides Rs 15 lakh.
They also burgled a garment shop in Palam last month from where they took away a large number of sarees and ladies’ suits, the official said. They allegedly sold these articles to Raj Kumar.
