Four arrested with fake currency

Hyderabad, February 12: The police today arrested four people and seized 30 fake Indian currency notes of Rs 500 denomination from their possession.

The accused were scrap business people and they incurred heavy loss in the business. To come over from the loss they brought huge amounts from the financers on high interests. Later they were unable to return the amount. Meanwhile, they contacted their business friend at Vellore for redressal. Through him they came in contact with another person at Mumbai and obtained fake notes. The accused circulated the fake currency by mixing them with original currency.

The seized fake Indian currency is of very high quality and it is suspected that these currency notes were printed in security printing press of a foreign nation intending to destabilize the Indian Economy, according to police.
