Four arrested in connection with robbery

New Delhi, January 14: Four persons were arrested in the national capital for their alleged involvement in the robbery of Rs 18 lakh outside a bank in adjoining Ghaziabad, police said today.

The arrested have been identified as Anil Pant, Mukesh Kumar, Tushar Lal and Bablu Saifi, a senior police official said here.

The gang had on Monday obstructed two employees of a shop when they went to a bank in Shahibabad to deposit the money.

They threw chilli powder in their eyes and snatched the cash bag.

They were arrested yesterday from near Anand Vihar bus stand.

Anil Pant is a Graduate from PGDAV College here and was earlier allegedly involved in a kidnapping for ransom case in Anand Vihar.

Police have recovered Rs 1.40 lakh and deposit slips of another Rs 1.5 lakh from them.
