New Delhi, December 06: Four armed motorcycle-borne men robbed two businessmen of Rs 3.5 lakh after opening fire at them in north-west Delhi, police said today.
The incident took place at around 8.30 pm last night in Pitampura when Ankur Kumar Bansal and his friend Pankaj Bansal were returning home after work on a scooter.
The attackers intercepted their scooter and asked the victims to part with the cash bag they were carrying, a senior police official said adding that when they resisted, the robbers opened fire.
Ankur sustained bullet injuries and fell from the scooter, he said adding that the attackers picked up the bag containing Rs 3.5 lakh and fled from the spot.
Ankur was taken to Maharaja Agrasen hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
