Four accused in Shabbir Ali attack case gets bail

Four activists of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen who were arrested for allegedly attacking TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Leader of Opposition Mohammed Ali Shabbir on February 2 were granted bail by a court on Thursday.

The accused – Syed Abdahu Kashaf, Shaik Abed Ali and Mohammed Masiuddin and another person were produced before a court at Nampally Criminal Courts on Thursday. The court granted them conditional bail them and asked them to appear before the local police whenever summoned.

Meanwhile, following a complaint lodged by Shahbaz Ahmed Khan, the Mir Chowk Police registered a criminal case against Congress leaders including TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Leader of Opposition Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Pargi MLA T. Ram Mohan Reddy, for violating code of conduct. They have been booked under Sections 143, 147, 448, 506 R/w 37 of Indian Penal Code for unlawfully assembly, trespassing and threatening/abusing/assaulting the MIM workers.
