Waqf Board has acquired 10 acre land in connection with construction of Hajj House near Shamsabad International Airport and it is likely that chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will lay foundation stone of the construction work in January next month.
Waqf Board chairman Maulana Syed Afzal Biabani Khusro Pasha told that there is no controversy regarding the construction of Hajj House. Government had earlier decided to construct Hajj House near airport for the convenience of Hajj aspirants however the process was deferred due to delay in land identification and its acquisition.
He informed that Waqf Board has acquired 15 acre land out of 27 acre Waqf land present under an educational society at the back of Dargah Hazrat Baba Sharfuddin, Pahadi Shareef. A written agreement has been signed with the society in this connection. Hajj House will be constructed on 10 acre while on the remaining 5 acre a ramp will be constructed for the visitors visiting Dargah Hazrat Baba Sharfuddin.
