The foundation stone for construction of CC road ramp to the top of the hill where Maula Ali Dargah is located was laid by Mayor Mohammed Majid Husain in Malkajgiri Circle. On the occasion the Mayor said that the work is in tender process and will be completed within 6 to 7 months.
GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said that keeping in view of the importance of the historic place the GHMC has taken up this initiative to construct the ramp for the convenience of the citizens to mitigate the hardships of the pilgrims in climbing the steps who are visiting the shrine. The ramp will be in a type of CC road around 300 metres with a width of carriage way of 6 meters along with the retaining wall as per the need.
The GHMC has taken up the work at a cost of Rs.1.68 crore.
